A213 316L Stainless Steel
316L is the low carbon of 316, the carbon content does not exceed 0.035%, and the molybdenum content is 2.0-3.0%,
so TP316L has excellent corrosion resistance in many high acid environments. In Europe, it is 1.4404. The difference

ASTM A 213 Tp 316l pipe is available in diameters from ½" to 100". ASTM A 213 Tp 316l ERW pipe and cold drawn
seamless pipe typically have an OD of 24 inches, while electrofusion welded 316l stainless steel pipe is available in
diameters from 6 inches to 100 inches. 316l stainless steel square tube is used for structural applications and high

316L Stainless Steel Features

316L stainless steel grade is molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel, 316L is more resistant to

general corrosion, pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion than conventional chromium-nickel austenitic

stainless steel such as 304.

316L stainless steel also provides higher creep, rupture stress and tensile strength at elevated temperatures.

Recommended temperature ranges include -425°F to 1,200°F (-255°C to 605°C).

In addition to excellent corrosion resistance and strength properties, Alloys 316 and 316L Cr-Ni-Mo alloys

provide the typical machinability and formability of austenitic stainless steels, with 316l commonly used in

marine environments.

ASTM a213 Tp316L is a designation for heat exchangers or high pressure pipes designed with 316L austenitic stainless steel.

ASTM A213 TP316L Pipe is manufactured with a fine chemical composition of Nickel, Chromium and Molybdenum. The content

allows these modules to work in highly corrosive and oxidizing media. Low carbon ASTM A213 SS 316L pipe also occurs in

environments where the material is prone to pitting and crevice corrosion. These tubes are designed to be between 0.40mm and

12.70mm thick. Robust 316L tubing can be machined in either hot or cold drawn processes. ASTM A213 TP316L cold drawn tubing
